The publication noted that 44.7% of Russian families cannot replace even simple furniture, and 23.7% of respondents cannot afford a seasonal pair of shoes for each family member. In 16% of cases, families don’t even have the money to buy fruit any time of the year. At the same time, almost half of Russians (47.2%) are not ready for unexpected expenses.

Market experts felt that these survey results were only a subjective assessment of respondents, so these results could not be taken as a macroeconomic benchmark. However, some experts pointed out that only this survey shows a more realistic assessment of the current situation in the country. Also, high salaries for individual family members do not necessarily mean high incomes for the entire family.
