Sber has adopted the company’s energy policy, ESG and sustainable development policy as part of its implementation plan.

The main goal of energy policy is to improve the energy efficiency of the bank and all Sber members, which will ultimately have a positive impact on the competitiveness of organizations and lead to a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.

“Sberbank’s energy policy is a document that intensifies the current activities of the bank’s departments in terms of the use of energy resources and provides for systematic work on their management,” said Stanislav Kuznetsov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Sberbank.

He added that the development of modern approaches in the field of green and energy-saving technologies not only brings the bank closer to carbon neutrality, but also has a tangible economic impact for partners and customers.

Recall that Sber was the first Russian bank to announce its strategic goal of achieving carbon neutrality in its operations by 2030 at the latest.
