The Russian Ministry of Finance is proposing to allow the sale of alcohol to passengers in waiting lounges and baggage delivery at duty-free airports on flights within the Russian Federation. This has been reported Web site Ministry of Finance of Russia.

“The sale of alcoholic products will be allowed in stores located at airports for passengers flying in Russia,” the press service said.
As part of the legislative project, it has been proposed to allow retail sale of alcoholic products to duty-free point owners in stores located in domestic departure lounges until 30 July 2026.
In addition, trade may be allowed in the baggage claim halls of Russian airports. At the same time, special conditions will be established for the sale of alcoholic products.
The measure was proposed to support operators of international airports in the Russian Federation and owners of duty-free shops facing losses.
