According to the traffic police, in a video shot on the morning of May 31, a teenager was driving a Toyota Land Cruiser on the Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk-Korsakov highway. There were no adults or other passengers in the car. Later, traffic inspectors stopped an SUV driven by a 37-year-old local resident in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.

The man said that his 11-year-old son did indeed drive a Toyota and that he was in another car driving ahead at low speed and with the alarm on. A resident of Sakhalin explained that he was watching his son in the rearview mirror, and an unforeseen situation forced the boy to drive.

As a result, for the transfer of driving to an unlicensed person, a resident of Sakhalin is fined 30 thousand rubles. An administrative report was also drawn up for non-payment of the fines previously taken for exceeding the speed limit. The incident was reported to the children’s branch by the police.
