From January to April this year, Russia became the leader among foreign suppliers of oil bitumen to Georgia. Since the beginning of the year, foreign suppliers have imported a total of 30.6 thousand tons of bitumen to Georgia. In the first four months, this figure increased by 96.1 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. The article states that in terms of the supply of such oil products, Russia is ahead of Iraq, Turkey and Azerbaijan.
“Petroleum bitumen imports in the first four months of the year increased by 96.1% compared to the same period of 2022 and amounted to 30.6 thousand tons. Most of the bitumen – 48.4% – was supplied from Russia. Among the importers, Iraq (25.8%) ranks second, Turkey (21.9%) third, followed by Azerbaijan (3.9%).
