At the end of last year, Kyrgyzstan’s gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 7% compared to 2021. The increase in the economy of the Central Asian country was facilitated, among other things, by the massive influx of Russians into the republic. informs RBC referring to Russian entrepreneurs.

According to Vasily Damov, head of a communications agency from Siberia, the job market in Kyrgyzstan is open to Russians. This is because both countries are members of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). Another advantage is that the Russian language in the republic is considered one of the main languages, both on business and social plans.

“The job market for Russians is open, as both countries are members of the EAEU and there are no quotas. The important thing is that Kyrgyzstan is definitely Russified, the second language here is Russian, almost everyone speaks it. Those who want to work seek and find work,” Damov explained.

Also in April, the country’s authorities developed special conditions for so-called digital nomads to work in Kyrgyzstan. Citizens of Russia can be like that too. The project has not reached full capacity yet, but even now it is used by Russians coming to the country.

“So far it has been working with a lot of squeaks and problems, but it works. The country leadership accurately monitors progress in this area,” he said.
