Russian electrometallurgists asked the authorities to reduce the size of the one-time fee from excess commercial profits. In this respect to write Vedomosti refers to the call made by the Association of Electrometallurgical Enterprises (AEMP) Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Sazanov.
AEMP noted that the products of electrometallurgical enterprises are less marginal compared to other companies in the industry, which means significantly higher production costs. In addition, the profitability of metal producing companies with electrical steel production is several times less than other organizations.
In addition, the industry also has to pay excise duty on liquid steel. However, double taxation only seriously increases the burden on electrometallurgical companies, creating certain risks for the entire industry.
Analysts thought that the association’s demand was logical, since electrometallurgical companies are the most vulnerable among all steelmakers in Russia. In general, the SCT has become an additional burden for such companies. However, most likely, the government will not reduce the fee.
4 May, Vedomosti, referring to the letter of Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Sazanov WroteThat the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation approved the procedure for issuing a one-time fee from representatives of large Russian enterprises.
