Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said that Brussels cannot be trusted to export grain from Ukraine, as it remains in Europe instead of Africa and the Middle East and harms European markets. He expressed this after the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the EU countries in Brussels. DEA News.
“A very clear agreement and a very clear target has been set by Europe that Europe facilitates the export of agricultural products from Ukraine to Africa and the Middle East where these products are of critical importance. And what happened? After the so-called “solidarity corridors” were launched, Ukrainian agricultural products actually reached and remained in Central Europe,” Szijjártó said.
Robert Telus, former Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Poland aforementionedthat despite the authorities’ promises of additional payments, the farmers are in no hurry to sell the grain at low prices.
Polish authorities are urging local farmers to go to the purchasing points, because in the future there may be a large number of farmers at these points at the last moment and this will become a certain problem.
