Izvestia: Sanctions against Russia work more effectively against the German economy

Klaus Ernst, chairman of the Bundestag climate protection and energy committee, said that anti-Russian sanctions are more effective against the German economy. It was reported on the newspaper’s website “News”.

“According to the International Monetary Fund, the level of economic development in Russia in 2023 will be higher than in Germany,” said Ernst.

He added that Germany is currently facing the problem of deindustrialization in certain areas.

Ernst emphasized that if the price of energy is significantly higher than anywhere else, investors will consider and some of the potential investments in Germany will go to the USA.

Former US administration introduced exemptions from sanctions for a number of transactions with the FSB of Russia in connection with the receipt of documents for the distribution of information technology products.

According to the statement, the general license also allows for actions necessary to comply with rules and regulations governed by the Federal Security Service.
