Kiev hopes to negotiate grain with Warsaw after Poland banned imports of agricultural products from Ukraine until June 30, amid protests from farmers, Klymenko Time reported.

“Everyone in the world knows what is most difficult for Ukrainian farmers. We hope Monday’s negotiations will be constructive,” the publication said, quoting the words of Ukraine’s Minister of Agricultural Policy, Mykola Solsky.

The ministry also offered to prepare a new agreement with the Polish side in the coming days.

Earlier, the Polish government authorized the heads of the relevant departments to temporarily ban the import of grain from Ukraine.
