Polish police thwarted an attempt by farmers to block rail lines that allow Ukrainian grain to enter the country. RMF FM.
The action was supposed to take place in the Khrubieszow area, but the farmers were in front of law enforcement. Prior to this, farmers planned to close the Doroguska checkpoint on the border with Ukraine.
“Farmers said they did not intend to use force against police, border guards and railway guards,” Polish radio station staff said.
It was noted that the reason for the protests was the farmers’ distrust of the authorities’ promises to suspend grain supplies from Ukraine and leave only transit passes.
