Roskachestvo tested wheat flour in Russia and concluded that all tested samples were safe. At the same time, the share of quality flour was 16% seven years ago. In this respect Wrote TASS agency with reference to the episode’s message.
Roskachestvo examined flour in packages weighing 1-5 kg, produced in 12 regions of Russia. They cover 75% of the domestic market.
“The test results showed the absence of systemic problems in the market and the safety of quality flour in general. Therefore, all the flour turned out to be “clean” – no potato disease was detected 36 hours after baking in the test laboratory (in 2016, this violation occurred in 12% of products),” says.
In addition, Roskachestvo did not find in the samples examined the presence of contamination or pest infestations, excessive pesticides or bromates that improve cooking properties in grain stocks that could contaminate the flour during grain processing. However, insignificant amounts of pesticides were found in 40% of the flour examined—one or more trace amounts, the department said.
According to Roskachestvo, the share of quality flour was 16% in 2016.
