Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said he would not mind charging fees in digital rubles. He talked about it in an interview with blogger Ksenia Paderina, reports TASS.
“I would love to take part in such experiments. The important thing is that they are accepted. For a quick exchange with ordinary rubles, ”the minister said about the digital ruble.
According to him, the exchange of rubles for the digital currency will be carried out by commercial banks.
formerly Siluanov reportedHe said there are no plans yet to extend property rights and social tax breaks to the self-employed. The Minister of Finance noted that tax deductions can be made for individual entrepreneurs who pay personal income tax.
Before that, Siluanov said that it is not planned to convert the salaries of state employees into digital rubles in the near future, but this possibility should be explored. According to the minister, the digital ruble can be used by the Russian Federation in international trade agreements following the abandonment of the euro and dollar, emphasizing that many states have already started to issue their own digital currencies.
