Canada to send additional $1.76 billion loan to Ukraine via IMF 00:28

Canadian authorities will provide an additional loan of $1.76 billion (CAD 2.4 billion) to Ukraine through the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in 2023. It has been reported TASS referring to the draft federal budget for the next fiscal year.

“The 2023 budget provides for an additional $2.4 billion credit in 2023,” the project says.

IMF Executive Board in December approved Monitoring program of the Ukrainian economy.

Previously, the newspaper “Kommersant”, which referred to the statistics of the Central Bank of Ukraine WroteAccording to the results of 2022, Ukraine received a total of 32.1 billion dollars of financial aid from Western countries. The USA and the European Union sent the most funds to Kiev – 12 billion dollars and 8 billion dollars, respectively. The IMF provided Ukraine with $2.7 billion during the year, Canada – $1.9 billion.
