Azerbaijan begins transit of Kazakh oil to Turkey via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline

SOCAR, the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan, started the transit of Kazakh oil through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline. In this respect Wrote Agency RIA Novosti, referring to the press service.

“The transportation of Kazakh oil via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan is carried out within the framework of the agreement between SOCAR and Kazmunaigas that provides the passage of 1.5 million tons of oil per year. By the end of 2023, 12-14 tanker voyages per month are planned in the Caspian Sea.

According to SOCAR, the first batch of oil from Kazakhstan from the Tengiz field arrived in Azerbaijan on March 23. Delivery of the next batch of Kazakh oil is scheduled for March 27.
