Montreal-based Pornhub parent company MindGeek has been acquired by private equity firm Ethical Capital Partners. This is their area.
The statement notes that ECP has taken over MindGeek, which has been criticized for hosting illegal content in recent years.
According to ECP co-founder Fady Mansour, the firm seeks innovative and ethical companies at the forefront of emerging industries, and MindGeek is a dynamic technology brand “based on trust, security and compliance.” Mansour emphasized that thanks to ECP, the Canadian company can consolidate its current successes.
It was previously known that the streaming service Netflix. announced Documentary “Money Shot: The Story of PornHub”.
The film’s producer, Susannah Hillinger, said she hopes the documentary will give viewers an inside look at how online content platforms work. “We hope this movie will spark important conversations about sex and consent, both online and around the world,” she says.
