In 2023, Russia is considering the possibility of reducing oil and gas production. This was expressed by the Minister of Energy Nikolai Shulginov, his words opens TASS.
He noted that the level of fuel production will be slightly lower this year, including the voluntary reduction in fuel production. Shulginov explained that the level of production will continue to fall “due to both the abandonment of the European market and the redirection of energy flows”.

“EU countries must work together to achieve a reduction in energy consumption of at least 11.7% in 2030 compared to the 2030 energy consumption forecast in 2020 (by the European Commission). This means that the final energy consumption should be 763 million tons of oil equivalent, and primary – 993 million tons,” the document states.
The decision of the EU institutions now has to be approved by all 27 countries of the community at the European Council.
