North African countries began to buy diesel fuel in bulk from Russia for later resale in Europe. In this respect informs oil price portal.
North African countries have become important export markets for Russian diesel fuel and other petroleum products since the EU embargo on these products went into effect in early February. At the same time, market experts believe that African countries will resell it to the European region.
Analysts thought that North African countries would not fully consume all the volumes of fuel purchased, as the region was unable to increase its oil refining volume. Therefore, it is likely that Russian fuel will enter the European market after mixing.
According to Vortexa senior analyst Ioannis Papadimitriou, about 87 vessels carrying Russian diesel are currently sailing at sea. Therefore, if the ships continue to carry Russian cargo, they can find buyers even in an unfamiliar market.
8 December Bulgarian Oil and Gas Association (BPGA) President Zhivodar Terziev declarationRussia will be able to divert its oil to Turkish refineries, which will resell its oil to European countries at a higher margin. According to him, apart from Turkey, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan will also increase their profits. These are traditional suppliers of petroleum products from Russian fuel to the processed European market.
