According to the bank’s press service, Sber has developed the service for renewing the Troika transport card and purchasing travel tickets in the SberBank Online mobile application. Now Android smartphone owners can instantly save the payment to the card.
As emphasized by Vyacheslav Tsybulnikov, Sberbank Vice-President and Chairman of Moscow Bank, Sberbank and Moscow Metro continue to develop innovative digital services that make the life of Muscovites and guests of the capital more comfortable.
“Therefore, today you can top up a Troika card quickly, reliably and securely, both online and at an ATM. Every month, 400 thousand of our customers renew their cards in this way.”
Moscow Deputy Mayor Maxim Liksutov at the Moscow Transport Government stated that the number of payment methods has been increased on behalf of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. According to him, passengers will be able to choose what is most comfortable for them in this way.
“Among them, there is not only the usual Troika, but also a fast payment system at checkouts with bank cards, biometrics, social cards, United tickets and BKL, loaded on a smartphone. “Moscow is on the list of world leaders in terms of affordable payment methods and we were one of the first to implement them,” he said.
To load a transport card, owners of Android smartphones need to type “Troika” in the search bar of SberBank Online and select the option “Load and book tickets”. After that, you must enter the Troika number and agree to the transfer to send your mobile number an electronic receipt and select the appropriate ticket.
Sber announced in SberBank Online that NFC-enabled Android smartphone owners can immediately write a ticket to a card by inserting a transportation card on the back of the phone. And owners of iOS devices can do this at the yellow information terminal in the lobby of the metro or on the Moscow ground transport.
