The Australian government has decided to impose new sanctions on 90 Russian citizens and 40 Russian organizations. This was announced in a statement by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. TASS.
According to the Australian Prime Minister, the list of sanctions will include “Russia’s ministers responsible for energy, natural resources, industry, education, labor, migration and health, as well as citizens and organizations of economic and strategic importance to Russia.”
Albanese’s report points out that the country’s government has also announced additional military assistance to Ukraine, which will include reconnaissance drones.
It was previously reported that Australia will provide Ukraine is using drones as part of a $33 million aid package. The federal government will hand over “unmanned aerial systems” to Kiev as part of the package.
Australian Defense Minister Richard Marles said the support would provide intelligence, surveillance and battlefield reconnaissance capabilities for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
