Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has instructed the country’s government to work on options for labeling their goods by foreign companies operating in the Russian market, in addition to the Ukrainian market. The instruction was posted on the website of Zelensky’s office.
Earlier, a petition was posted on Zelensky’s website that it remains the industry leader in the Ukrainian market, while most foreign companies maintain their presence in the Russian market. The petition proposes to oblige such companies to mark goods imported into Ukraine with a special label.
Zelensky instructed the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmygal, to consider the issues raised in the petition against the available powers, as indicated in the President’s response to this petition.
Prior to that, a petition for the renaming of Russia to Muscovy was published on the website of the office of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. he scored The number of votes required for official consideration. The relevant document was registered at the end of November 2022. The authors of the initiative are in favor of replacing the names “Russia” and “Russian Federation” with “Muscovy” and “Moscow Federation”, and all its derivatives with variations of the word “Muscovy”.
