AB InBev Efes denied the claims of Russian brewers, saying that the company did not produce beer in three days. This was reported to socialbites.ca in the press service of the organization.

A day ago, Kommersant newspaper wrote that the Russian Brewers’ Association (SRP) appealed to the Russian authorities with a request to tighten the rules on the circulation of beer in the domestic market. In its appeal, the organization referenced that in February a representative of AB InBev Efes stated at one of the meetings that the company’s portfolio in the country included beer produced in three days.

According to Alexander Smirnov, head of innovation and technical development at AB InBev Efes, this information is inaccurate and misleads consumers. In fact, the full production cycle consists of several phases, including the fermentation and stabilization phase, which for some brands discussed at the meeting, takes about three days.

“The fermentation phase takes seven days for some varieties and the entire production process takes at least eight days,” added Smirnov.

21 February “Kommersant” with reference to Rosalkogolregulirovanie (RAP) data WroteAt the end of 2022, the volume of alcoholic products produced in Russia increased by 2.24% compared to the same period of 2021, amounting to 1.01 billion decaliters. At the same time, the main volumes of alcoholic beverages produced in the domestic market fell into beer, cider, poiret and mead.
