At least 41 thousand buildings were destroyed or neglected in 10 provinces hit by the earthquake in Turkey. DEA News With reference to the Ministry of Urbanization and Environment.

Head of Department Murat Kurum said at a press conference in Gaziantep that 41 thousand 791 buildings that needed to be demolished immediately or were in disrepair were identified.

Full evaluation is expected to be completed within a week.

The institution said that construction works will start in 10 provinces by the end of February.

Reportedly, the number of earthquake victims in Turkey reached 31 643.

On February 6, two destructive earthquakes with a magnitude of 7.7 occurred in the Pazarcık region of Kahramanmaraş and 7.6 magnitude in the Elbistan region. The Turkish Disaster Management Authority (AFAD) said 1,330 aftershocks followed the earthquakes.
