“Green” investments of Orenburgneft, which is part of Rosneft’s oil production complex, exceeded 10 billion rubles. The press service of the company said in the period from 2018 to 2022. It was clarified that the funds were directed to the implementation of environmental protection and nature restoration measures.

Orenburgneft states that environmental friendliness of production and minimizing environmental impact are the company’s priorities.

The entity systematically implements programs and ensures environmental monitoring to improve pipeline reliability, rational use of associated petroleum gas (LPG), land reclamation, energy efficiency, conservation of water resources and biodiversity.

The company emphasizes that Orenburgneft specialists constantly monitor the environmental situation in oil production areas and adjacent areas: they monitor the state of atmospheric air, soil, groundwater and surface waters. For example, employees of the enterprise conducted more than 5.8 thousand soil tests.

In addition, Orenburgneft disposes of industrial waste using modern technologies. Secondary products obtained as a result of recycling are also included in the technological process.

From 2018 to 2022, Orenburgneft specialists released more than 425 thousand valuable fish species into the Volga and Ural basins: carp, sterlet and silver carp.

In addition, business employees take an active role in environmental projects and campaigns for landscaping and cleaning of areas, volunteers organize flash mobs and bike rides, and teach environmental lessons for young people.

The collection of waste paper, batteries and plastic caps has become traditional for oilmen.
