Bulgaria vows to veto possible EU sanctions on Russia’s nuclear sector 17:42

Bulgarian President Rumen Radev said that if the European Union imposes sanctions on Russia’s nuclear energy, his country will veto it. This was reported by the Bulgarian radio station BNR.

Radev noted that Bulgaria could not approve possible EU sanctions against Russia in the field of nuclear energy.

They will directly affect our energy sector, so if it comes to this, Bulgaria will veto it,” he said.

Ursula von der Leyen, previously President of the European Commission, will be presented Tenth package of sanctions against the Russian Federation.

On February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided to organize a special military operation to protect Donbass, in response to a request for assistance from the heads of the LPR and DPR.

The decision to run the operation became the justification for new sanctions against Russia by the United States and its allies.
