Serial production of Kama bikes began at the Forward plant in Perm. This was reported by the press service of the government of the Perm Territory, transmits TASS.
“On the conveyor line of the Forward enterprise, the assembly of the first batch of an updated version of bicycles produced in Perm from the 1970s to the 1990s began. The publication noted that the first batch will consist of 3,000 bicycles.
According to the company’s commercial director Alexei Boyarshinov, the first batch was dedicated to the 300th anniversary of Perm. The press release added that bikes will start arriving in stores in the near future. The average retail price will be about 11-13 thousand rubles. At the same time, in 20232 the bikes will only be offered in red, but white and blue will also be added to the range next year. The model range will also be expanded and options with different wheel diameters will be added.
Forward ranks second in Russia in terms of bicycle production, the Perm plant produces 10% of all bicycles in the country.
