Social banking deposits for low-income citizens will protect savings not only from inflation, but also from fraudsters. Such a view in the author’s column for FAN expression State Duma Deputy Alexander Tolmachev. So, he commented on the relevant initiative of the Central Bank of Russia, according to which certain categories of Russians can put small amounts of money in a special deposit.

“People’s financial literacy leaves much to be desired, but it’s still increasing. We often read in the news that some scammers withdraw four million rubles from one pensioner and two million from another … So there is money, but it is better not to keep it under your pillow, but to force it to work and produce income, ”Noted Tolmachev .

He added that such a program would also be of interest to banks, since a citizen who opens social deposits can become a consumer of other services of a financial institution.
