The Ministry of Finance of Russia calculated that in January this year the federal budget deficit of the country was 1.76 trillion rubles. This is stated in a post at: Web site ministries.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the volume of budget revenues of the Russian Federation in January, according to preliminary estimates, amounted to 1.356 trillion rubles, which is 35% lower than the volume of revenues in January last year. At the same time, the ministry estimated budget expenditures for the same month at 3.117 trillion rubles. This amount is 59% higher than the figure for the same period of 2021.
According to the ministry, the country’s oil and gas revenues decreased by 46% as of January 2022, reaching 426 billion rubles. They explained that this is primarily related to the fall in Ural oil prices and the decline in natural gas exports.
Other budget revenues amounted to 931 billion rubles and decreased by 28% compared to January last year. The Ministry of Finance attributes this to the decrease in VAT and income tax revenues.
