Canada has sanctioned a number of Russian journalists and media outlets. This was reported on the website of the Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on February 3 that Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly imposed additional sanctions on Russia in connection with Canada’s special operation in Ukraine.
In particular, journalists Sergey Brilev, Evgeny Poddubny and Tatyana Mitkova were included in the list. It also included resources from the state media group Rossiya Segodnya, RIA Novosti, Prime, InoSMI, Baltnews, Ukraina.ru and others.
A total of 38 individuals and 16 organizations were included in the Canadian sanctions list. According to the Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, these are associated with “Russian disinformation and propaganda”.
The Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs added that Ottawa will continue to work with international partners to put additional pressure on Russia.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website, since the inception of the NWO, Canada has imposed sanctions on more than 1,600 individuals and entities from Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.
Russian Foreign Ministry in December knowledgeable on the inclusion in the sanctions list and the ban on entry to the Russian Federation of 200 Canadian citizens, including high-ranking officials, parliamentarians, law enforcement agencies, representatives of expert circles and “activists of pro-Bandera structures and organizations”.
