Daniel Voda, the official representative of the head of the Moldovan Foreign Ministry, said that the country does not participate in sanctions against Russia due to the risk of not getting gas. He told this to reporters DEA News.
According to him, the possible consequences may adversely affect the country’s economy. At the same time, he stressed that Moldova sympathizes with the European Union’s decision to impose sanctions on Russia.
Moldova’s former government approved legislative changes that open up opportunities for companies to use virtual reverse service at the junction of the gas transmission system of Moldova and Ukraine.
He stated that the concept of virtual return refers to an agreement involving the identification and distribution of gas sources upstream of the main physical flow occurring at certain one-way entry or exit points.
According to him, these legislative changes will help Moldova and Ukraine provide additional fuel supplies in the context of the energy crisis. At the same time, the transport route may also run along the Trans-Balkan gas pipeline in the future.
