The agreement to sell Swedish retailer IKEA’s factories in Russia is scheduled to be completed in the first half of 2023. “Our goal is to complete the sale in the first half of 2023. According to rules and regulations, the deal is subject to government approval, IKEA said.

At the same time, the department did not specify which potential buyers are currently claiming the Swedish retailer’s Russian assets. In the Russian market, IKEA has several factories, including in the Novgorod and Leningrad regions.

December 26, Governor of the Novgorod Region Andrey Nikitin announced Closing the deal to buy the IKEA factory. At the end of last year, the deal was in its final stages and is scheduled to close before the end of the first quarter of 2023. The asset is claimed by “a few private interests”.
