The agreement to sell Swedish retailer IKEA’s factories in Russia is scheduled to be completed in the first half of 2023. However, proper permission from the government will be required to complete it, informs The newspaper Izvestia, which refers to the statement of the international division of the Scandinavian company.
“Our goal is to complete the sale in the first half of 2023. According to rules and regulations, the deal is subject to government approval, IKEA said.
At the same time, the department did not specify which potential buyers are currently claiming the Swedish retailer’s Russian assets. In the Russian market, IKEA has several factories, including in the Novgorod and Leningrad regions.
