At the same time, the number of new app downloads increased by 11% to 255 billion in 2022. The average time users spend in apps increased by 3%, or about 5 hours per day.
Most often, new apps are downloaded in China, with India in second place and the United States in third place. Russia ranks sixth in this indicator. Known as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation, Instagram owned by Meta Corporation has become the world’s most popular app in terms of downloads.
