French company GTT announced the suspension of business in Russia 01:15

The French engineering company GTT (Gaztransport & Technigaz) announced its decision to suspend its work in the Russian Federation and terminated cooperation with the Russian shipbuilding company Zvezda under a contract that provides for the construction of 15 icebreaker gas carriers. It has been reported TASS regarding the company’s press service.

They stated that after conducting an in-depth analysis of the last two EU sanctions packages against the Russian Federation, which includes a ban on the provision of engineering services to Russian enterprises, GTT has decided to suspend its activities in Russia.

The company stressed that from January 8, its contract with Zvezda will be suspended.

Tleuberdi noted that due to the sanctions imposed on Russia by the European Union and the USA, many foreign companies closed their offices in the Russian Federation and stopped or suspended their activities there.
