Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said that despite the ceiling price of 60 dollars per barrel for Russian oil, Russia is and will remain the largest fuel exporter. About informs TASS.

Earlier, the finance minister had acknowledged that imposing a marginal price for oil from the Russian Federation would distort the energy market.

December 27 Russian President Vladimir Putin signed Decree on retaliatory measures against the oil price ceiling. The document prohibits the supply of oil and petroleum products from Russia to countries that set ceiling prices in the contract. Supplying oil to foreign buyers is also prohibited if the contract provides for a price fixing mechanism.

At the same time, it will be possible to supply oil and petroleum products from Russia to countries with a ceiling on oil prices, only with a special decision. The document will enter into force on February 1, 2023 and will be valid until July 1, 2023.
