The Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation has issued an order, which assumes that from January 1, 2023, the minimum retail price for sparkling wine in Russia will increase to 239 rubles per 0.75 liters against the current minimum price of 169 rubles. It has been reported TASS.
The publication states that the current minimum wholesale price from 137 rubles will increase to 199 rubles, the selling price – from 118 to 166 rubles per 0.75 liters.
Previous edition of Kommersant citing sources reportedThat the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Finance began discussing the possibility of imposing a tax on beer from “non-enemy” countries, which could make the import of the drink into Russia even more difficult.
Analysts calculated that from January to September, the share of imported beer fell from 15% to 9%, and the niche began to be occupied by local brands. In addition, beer production in Russia increased by 3% in the three quarters of 2022. Given the ongoing sanctions, logistical difficulties and other problems, imported beer prices in Russia could increase by 20-25% excluding taxes in 2023.
