US Congressman McCarthy to insist on accountability of funds transferred to Ukraine 05:55

Kevin McCarthy, leader of the Republican group in the House of Representatives of the United States Congress, said he would insist on accountability of funds transferred to Ukraine. This was reported by the TV channel. CNN.

McCarthy noted that the speech of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to American lawmakers did not affect the position of the American side on the inadmissibility of unlimited financial assistance to Ukraine, and according to him, “he has no solid justification”.

“My position has not changed. I support Ukraine, but I do not support the “blank check” policy. We want to make sure that we are responsible for all the funds we spend, ”reports the TV channel.

Earlier, US President Joe Biden, at a press conference with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House, said that the US Agency for International Development (USAID) emphasize $374 million for humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
