The resulting personnel shortage in the Russian labor market limits the development of the economy and “greatly worries” the government. Words of Maxim Reshetnikov, head of the Ministry of Economic Development opens interfax.

At the same time, the shortage of personnel in various sectors formed in the labor market will not lead to a strong decrease in GDP until the end of the current year. Reshetnikov confirmed that the decline should be 2.9% by the end of December.

“But the question is not even to rank these numbers, we need to act proactively, we need to implement the tasks discussed with the president on investment policy,” Reshetnikov said.

28 November, Kommersant newspaper cites the results of a survey by the National Association of Infrastructure Companies (NAIK) and the Sherpa Group reportedthat most market participants face an increasing shortage of qualified specialists. At the same time, 90% of respondents expect the situation to worsen over the next six months.
