It is stated that Italy imported 2.29 billion cubic meters of fuel oil from Russia in October 2021. The reduction in supply is due, among other things, to the fact that in October 2022 Italy consumed 1.35 billion cubic meters (or 24.2%) less than the previous year, due to the milder weather and more economical use of electricity.
According to the newspaper, Italy imported 60.8 billion cubic meters in only the first 10 months of 2022. The largest volume fell to supplies from Algeria, with 19.3 billion cubic meters.
