Chance of rain! Maximum intrigue at the REC race in Moscow

Already on September 25, next Sunday, the Moscow Raceway circuit will raise the banners of the Russian endurance racing series – Moscow welcomes the third stage of the Russian Endurance Challenge (REC)…

The battle promises to be incredibly beautiful: twenty-six crews, fireballs of five different classes and a weather forecast that promises rain. Something will!

As you know, the general list of REC-2022 participants includes prominent Russian pilots with rich international experience: Roman Rusinov, Vitaly Petrov, Mikhail Aleshin, Daniil Kvyat, Sergey Sirotkin, Alexei Dudukalo, Alexei Basov and others.

The equipment on the podium is also expected to be extremely interesting: Mercedes AMG GT3, Mercedes AMG GT4, BMW M4 GT4 (world endurance standard), Toyota Supra GT 4, Porsche Cayman GT4, unique Russian car Marussia B1 GT, G-Drive G01 prototype ( G-Drive Racing), FENIX prototype of the Moscow Poly, Shortcut prototypes (DK Racing) and cars of the National Circuit Motorsport.

Shortcuts, these small cars with an open design (without a roof), should be mentioned separately, because the rain on the Moscow circuit, difficult and in dry weather, guarantees the crews really extreme conditions, in which endurance is no longer a figure of expression … Interestingly, female pilots actively participate in this class.

And in other standings, the balance of power turns out to be very curious, because new pilots go to Moscow to race, new equipment appears, which means that any plot twists are possible.

For example, Evgeny Chikinev’s Chev Team crew switched to Toyota Supra GT 4 (GT class) and the number of Porsche Cayman GTs in the pack reached four, so a separate ranking appears for them… So on September 25, Sunday , Moscow Raceway, the third leg Endurance Challenge. The four-hour marathon starts exactly at 3:00 PM!
