Today, car repairs after an accident under OSAGO can be carried out using not original spare parts, but analogues, the cost of which in most cases is much lower.
It is only possible to replace the original with an analogue if the delivery time of the original is more than 15 days. And we are talking exclusively about analogues of original spare parts and consumables certified in Russia.
Many expected that with a new approach to repair and build up payments, the amounts would decrease, because the cost of analogues is much lower. But in the end, as Izvestia was told in the Russian Union of Motor Insurers (RSA), prices in the updated directory increased by 2.6% compared to the previous edition.
The amount of benefits will therefore also have to increase by approximately the same percentage. But it’s not so great that motorists feel the difference. This will likely also affect the cost of the OSAGO policies.
