The Russian dealers MAN and Scania were put up for sale. There is no information yet about the factory near St. Petersburg.
Experts are sure that dealer sales speak of the company’s decision to leave Russia. More precisely, companies sell their shares in these centers, which are bought by Russian partners.
Scania’s finance department, which was involved in truck leasing, is also being sold.
“These transactions require the approval of the supervisory boards of Traton SE and Volkswagen AG, as well as various regulatory bodies in the Russian Federation. They are expected to be completed in Q1 2023,” the group’s press release explains.
The owners of trucks and buses from MAN and Scania are expected to have no problems with their maintenance, as they have been using non-genuine spare parts and consumables for a long time. But there will be problems with warranty repairs – in fact, companies waive their warranty obligations in our country.
MAN and Scania’s place in the Russian market will be taken by cars from Chinese, Belarusian and, of course, Russian manufacturers.
