About 1.5 thousand parts for the assembly of Lada cars have not yet been imported, that is about a third. This was announced on Wednesday by the head of AVTOVAZ, Maxim Sokolov, in an interview with RBC TV channel as part of the Eastern Economic Forum.
Of these, some 300 different components are at risk and are constantly monitored, forcing management to operate in “manual mode” and presenting additional risks.
He noted that these risks are ‘realizing’. Almost daily, management receives signals that the supply of a certain part has been discontinued.
This forces engineering, logistics and procurement services to quickly refocus and look for comparable suppliers in our country, or reconfigure supply chains for components from other friendly countries. This is how Maxim Sokolov described the current situation.
As a reminder, today is the last day of the 7th Eastern Economic Forum.
