The National Automobile Union’s harsh statements were prompted by the planned expansion of the tariff corridor by 26% from September 13.

At the same time, another process is underway: the reduction of payments to car owners in the event of a traffic accident. Spare parts have recently increased in price by an average of 50-70%, while the cost of parts in the catalogs used by insurance companies has increased by only 20-25%.
In addition, the Bank of Russia allowed insurers to use spare parts analogues when making calculations, which means that the number of payments will further decrease, because most likely they will focus on the cheapest analogue with a wear rate of up to 50 %. There is a caveat: alternative prices only apply if the original part is not on the market. But who and how it will install is not explained.
That is, according to the National Automobile Union, we will actually pay more and receive less insurance benefits and predict that in the first phase we will see an increase in the number of people who are no longer insured due to an increase in the price of the service , and second – there will be fewer potential customers due to insufficient payments.
To date, the organization estimates that the proportion of those who do not have OSAGO policies varies from 10% to 20%, depending on the region, and that in the next two or three years, the proportion of those who do not have OSAGO policies can grow up to 40%.
Among the proposals to equalize the situation, the idea of creating a single state insurance company that is not interested in making a profit is increasingly heard.
In any case, the reform of the civil liability system for motor vehicles is clearly outdated, experts are sure of that.
