During the conference for dealers, JAC Motors gave a special demonstration of the JS4 and JS6 crossovers, informs portal “Chinese cars”. JAC representatives on the brand’s official website said both models will go on sale “soon”. According to the publication,
JS4 may be released until October, while JS6 may not be released until November.
Representatives of the Chinese brand have not yet specified the cost and characteristics of the cars. However, the characteristics of the machines are included in the Rosstandart database, they correspond to the parameters of these models in China.

So, in China, the JS4 crossover was launched in 2020 under the name Jiayue X4, it is produced under the Sehol brand, which arose as a result of cooperation between the Chinese automaker and the Volkswagen Group.
In China, the starting price of the car is 90 thousand yuan (about 786 thousand rubles at the exchange rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation).
A vehicle type approval (OTTS) has already appeared in the Rosstandart database, which allows these cars to be sold in the Russian Federation by both the Chinese and Kazakh assembly of the SaryarkaAvtoProm plant.

In Russia, the car received a two-section headlight and the so-called LED “single eyebrow” of daytime running lights in front of it. The choice will be offered crossovers with two-tone body color.
In terms of dimensions, the crossover is in the same class as the Hyundai Creta, Skoda Karoq and Kia Seltos.
Its length is 4410 mm, width – 1800 mm, height – 1660 mm, wheelbase – 2620 mm. The driver in all versions of the JS4 is only in the front, the interior color is also the same – black. Claimed boot volume is 520 liters and 1,050 liters with the second row seats folded down.
The basic version is equipped with a naturally aspirated 1.6-liter engine producing 118 horsepower and 150 Nm of torque, coupled with a six-speed manual transmission. The standard equipment list includes 17-inch alloy wheels, two airbags, air conditioning, stabilization system, rear parking sensors, four-speaker audio system (USB and Bluetooth) and fabric upholstery.

The level of passive safety of the car in the medium configuration is higher – six airbags are offered, including side ones. A 10.3-inch infotainment screen is already available for these options, the list also includes an electric sunroof, climate control system and combined seat upholstery.
In top modifications, the SUV is equipped with a 1.5 turbo engine (136 forces and 200 N m),
which is based on the JAC J7 blowback. The engine is aggregated by a variator or mechanic.
In the maximum configuration, a specially turbocharged 136-horsepower engine with a variator is provided. Such a car is distinguished by all-LED optics, a digital instrument cluster, leather seats, all-round cameras, an electric driver’s seat and driving assistants, including systems for lane marking and blind spot monitoring.
JACJS6
In China, this five-seat JS6 crossover was launched in 2021 under the Sehol sub-brand. Now in China it costs from 101.9 thousand yuan (about 892 thousand rubles).
With the slightly concave surface of the hood, complex lighting architecture, “one-brow” and foglight design, the JS6 is similar to the JS4, but this SUV is larger (4605x1980x1700 mm) and the wheelbase is 2720 mm.
In terms of dimensions, this model can be compared with the popular Hyundai Tucson crossover among Russians.

The JS6 was the first model to be built on the MIS Haoxue modular platform with independent front and rear suspensions. Chinese auto experts call this platform the “cousin” of Volkswagen’s first mass-produced modular car, and models such as the Tiguan and Taos, among others, are based on it (MQB).
It is claimed that the structure and key nodes of the Chinese and German platforms are 90% similar.
The JS6 also has front-wheel drive only. As in China, the car will be available with an unrivaled 1.5-liter petrol turbo engine (184 hp and 280 Nm). Paired with it is a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-band “robot”.

In contrast to the JS4 with the “floating” screen of the media system, in the JS6 cabin a central screen and a 12.3-inch “tidy” are combined in a single panel, and a “washer” for selecting drive modes is installed instead of the transmission selector. The multimedia allows you to control the car’s functions using voice commands.
In the home market, the JS6 received a security complex with 12 radars and 4 cameras, responsible for the operation of adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assistance, emergency braking systems and more.
