From September 1, simplified rules for vehicle inspection begin to work in Russia, reminds “Kommersan”.
Currently, the list of automatic items required for verification has been reduced from 82 to 55 items. Therefore, for maintenance they will no longer check the first aid kit, fire extinguisher, the presence of an emergency stop sign, oil leakage from the engine, the operation of the windshield washer, brake pipes and the noise level of the engine exhaust system. . However, they will check for “air leaks” or exhaust gas leaks, bypassing the “exhaust system” (exhaust manifold, muffler, converter, etc.) during the inspection.
The Government Decree that came into force was prepared by the Ministry of Transport in order to simplify the maintenance procedure and reduce the burden on the business. The vehicle inspection period remains the same.
Earlier, it was reported that Russian deputies believed that drivers should not be fined for petty offenses. In addition, they want to save the owners of commercial vehicles who do not undergo regular inspections from punishment. Read more in the material “socialbites.ca”.
