For car owners in Moscow and the Moscow Region, Moscow High Speed Across (MSD) travel will be free. Sergey Sobyanin wrote about this on his Telegram channel.
“Today we made another important decision – MSD will be free for residents of Moscow and the Moscow region. From January 1, 2023, a toll will be introduced for public transport drivers. This was done in order to protect the highway from additional vehicular traffic and give residents the opportunity to shorten the travel time,” wrote Sergei Sobyanin.
It is stated that MSD will connect Altufevskoye, Dmitrovskoye, Yaroslavskoye, Shchelkovskoye highways, Entuziastov highways, Volgogradsky and Ryazansky streets, Varshavskoye and Kashirskoye highways, Moscow Ring Road, TTK and other highways of the city.
Within the scope of the MSD project, a total of 217 km of roads, including 136 artificial structures and 33 pedestrian crossings, will be built. Construction of the main part of the MSD – the North-East Highway – will be completed in 2023.
According to Sergei Sobyanin, the main task is to build a motorway in Moscow, on which it is possible to cross the city in 40 minutes without stopping.
Previously reportedThis traffic is open in test mode, passing Khabarovsk along the first toll highway in the Far East. The road will connect three federal highways – “Amur”, “Ussuri” and “Vostok”, will provide access to the Russian road network to the largest ports – Vostochny, Vladivostok, Nakhodka, Sovetskaya Gavan and Vanino.
