“First of all, it is important to say that you should always use gasoline that is not lower than the octane number recommended by the car manufacturer. For example, it is obvious that using AI-92 in models where AI-95 or 98 is recommended may cause some problems,” he said.
According to the expert, possible risks include reduced engine performance, engine damage and increased fuel consumption.
Strelbitsky added that AI-100 will not increase engine power, as its resistance to detonation is determined by its octane number. However, such gasoline will allow the engine to reach its full potential.
