BMW Company presented new generation sports M5 station wagon. The M5 model with this body type is produced for the third time in its history, which began in 1984.
The station wagon received the same power plant as the M5 sedan. Under the hood of the car is a 4.4-liter V8 turbo engine with a capacity of 585 hp. An electric motor developing 197 hp is integrated into the eight-speed automatic transmission. The sports wagon accelerates from zero to 100 km / h in 3.6 seconds, which is 0.1 seconds more than the sedan. The station wagon is 63 kg heavier than the sedan.
The standard equipment of the car includes reinforced brakes and active steering from M GmbH. The station wagon is equipped with wheels of different sizes: at the front there are discs with a landing diameter of 20 inches, at the rear there are 21 inches.
Prior to this, the BMW M5 station wagon was produced in the E34 generation (produced from 1992 to 1995) and the E61 (produced from 2007 to 2010).
