A serious accident involving a tram occurred on Glubochitskaya Street in Kiev. This was reported by the Ukrainian publication Strana.ua.
The document states that the tram went down the mountain and about 10 cars hit the road. The vehicle also hit another tram coming from the opposite direction.
The publication did not specify what exactly caused the accident. At the moment there are two versions of what happened – either the tram’s brakes failed, or there was no driver inside.
At the same time, information later appeared on the Telegram channel of the press service of the Kyiv City Military Administration that six people were injured as a result of the emergency. Three of them had to be hospitalized.
“The public utility company Kievpasstrans indicated the human factor as the cause of the accident, namely the driver’s incorrect actions,” the statement said.
Now the traffic on Glubochitskaya Street is complicated in both directions, especially the trams on routes 14 and 18 are experiencing delays.
