The state of the federal network of Russian roads is deteriorating, reports TASS, citing the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Roman Starovoit.
“Unfortunately, for various reasons, we see that the federal network, among other things, is deteriorating. Regional and municipal are in a more difficult situation. But our federal network has always been our flagship and guide. Unfortunately, since 2020 we have seen a gradual decline in quality,” Starovoit said.
According to him, the first priority is to standardize the routes.
Before that, LDPR deputies were introduced to the State Duma invoiceThis provides for increased penalties for poor quality road repairs.
Currently, fines for poor-quality road repair for officials and legal entities range from 20-30 thousand rubles and 200-300 thousand rubles, respectively.
If poor road quality causes an accident, it is proposed to impose a fine of 200 thousand rubles on officials responsible for its maintenance, and 1 million rubles on legal entities (compared to the current 100 thousand rubles and 500 thousand rubles).
